Place Introduction
Jirisan Dulle-gil is a 300km long-distance walk that connects three islands around Jirisan Mountain, Jeollabuk-do, Jeollanam-do, Gyeongsangnam-do, and five cities, Namwon, Gurye, Hadong, Sancheong, Hamyang, and 80 villages in 16 towns and villages. Until 2011, through various resource surveys and maintenance, old roads, passes, forest roads, riverside roads, rice paddies, farm roads, and village roads are connected in a ring-shaped manner. Jirisan Dulle-gil is a path to rediscover and embrace the meaning of nature, village, history and culture that meets on the road connecting Jirisan Dulle.
The Jirisan Dulle-gil began in 2004 with the suggestion that pilgrims who set out to spread "life peace" to the land meet people and have a pilgrimage route to Jirisan Mountain that connects villages and villages. The proposal was refined and embodied in Jirisan Dulle-gil.
